Friday night we had a very good turn out, with some new faces, glad to see everyone playing games and having fun. Saturday our Chicken and Dumpling dinners were sold out in about an hour. Everyone I spoke with that got one said they can't wait for the next one. Be watching for an announcement here in the paper. After we finished with the clean up duty we had a candy making lesson. The ones that stayed learned to make Velvetta Fudge. It was later enjoyed by everyone that came out Saturday evening to the center. We would also like to thank everyone for the donations of canned goods and toys for our Christmas Baskets to give out this year. We are joining with Mrs. Norma Enoch's Girl Scout troop making these baskets up, and giving them out. If you would like to help by making a contribution of food, toys, or money to help get these things, just call one of the staff members. Joe and Sue @ 322-8151, Rena @322-8278, Faye @322-8008, or Allen @ 322-1123. Next Saturday night, the 17th we are going to be having a Christmas Snowflake dance. Admission is a can of food, or an unwrapped toy. Come on out and have fun, for this is the last night the Youth Center will be open here this year on Friday and Saturday nights. We will reopen in January. Everyone come on out, and enjoy. Help fill Christmas baskets, and feel the joy of the season you get in your heart by helping someone less fortunate than ourselves. Happy Holiday's to all! From the Staff of E.Y.C.C. Joe, Sue, Allen, Rena, Eddie, Virgie, and Faye. |
