Missouri Ozarks Regional Explorers (MORE) is a non-profit organization sponsored by the Big Springs and Top of the Ozarks Resource Conservation and Development Councils. Our mission is to inspire, educate, and encourage the exploration and appreciation of the Ozarks in a way that will keep our rural communities alive and thriving! Our area of interest is the south central part of Missouri including the counties of Butler, Wayne, Reynolds, Carter, Ripley, Oregon, Howell, Ozark, Douglas, Wright, Texas, Shannon, Dent, Laclede, and Pulaski.
Our short-term goals are to:
- encourage people to visit and explore the many unique places that make up the rural character of the Ozarks of Missouri.
- be a resource to groups interested in visiting the area through conferences and tours.
- develop informational materials that promote the region as a whole.
Our long-term goals are to:
- develop the MORE organization into a sustainable organization
- encourage more low impact recreational development in the region.
