To address emerging issues and trends affecting the Eastern Ozarks rural
communities, people and lifestyles as influenced by woodland management and
marketing strategies.
 

Objectives
Promote sustainable forest management on public and private lands
Foster rural development through forestry
Promote constructive communication and cooperation among government
agencies, the forest industry, and forest landowners and managers
Improve private landowners’ forest management and marketing skills
Encourage implementation of improved forest harvesting systems
